LESSER SEA-SPURREY Spergularia marina

Lesser sea-spurrey has 5 pink and white petals, shorter than their sepals. Leaves are long, narrow and fleshy. The stem can grow up to 35cm long. Flowers from November to January.
This annual perennial herb is coastal plant is widespread across the Falkland Islands, favouring bare ground in sparse coastal vegetation and salty grassland on coastal slopes and cliffs, tussac  and coastal heaths.
